If you have any stories, memories, photos and any info at all about the Paignton Picture House that you'd like to share, I'd love to hear from you!/p>

I am also trying to create a list of all the people who worked at the cinema over the years, with the dates they were there and the roles they played. Can you help?

You can contact Stuart Saunders on stu49.saunders@blueyonder.co.uk.

The website author: Stuart Saunders

Stuart has a passion for the traditional cinema experience he remembers from when he was boy - the silver screen would be covered, the lights dimmed, the curtain pulled back... and you were plunged into a world where you could escape for a few magical hours. For him, the projectionist was the wizard or organ grinder who would bring you this magical experience where showmanship still played a part in the performance.

He has converted his garage into a cinema and film projector restoration workshop. He has restored projectors ranging through all the major formats but 35mm cinema machines are his passion. He is currently restoring a 1929 Ernemann 11 35mm projector to its former glory.

Along with other fellow enthusiasts, he has been campaigning to save Paignton Picture House for years... at last there may be light at the end of the tunnel... watch this website for updates.
